One of my latest creations.... This crazy hanging fixture was originally a table lamp. It is made out of a rare red brass, which has more copper in it giving it a rosie color. All parts were taken apart and put back together along with some more common yellow brass parts. Digging through some old drawers, I was able to come up with some amazing crystals to add to the mix.

This table lamp is the first in a series of 'steam punk' lights. The idea is to take parts from a bygone era and use them to create a new object altogether. The parts for this lamp were dug up from the basement of a lighting store. The arm is from a chandelier, etc., etc. I have created a truly 'green' light, due to the fact that it has recycled parts that were originally made domestically and the socket was created specifically for compact florescent bulbs.
There was an idea to make shades for lights out of old insulators from telephone poles. I have taken this idea along with some common plumbing parts and some brass componants to create a wall sconce.
